Royal Recognition: Scamp and Yoyo Awarded the PDSA Order of Merit
Scamp and Yoyo Honoured with PDSA Order of Merit at the Tower of London
We are proud to announce that two of our exceptional detection dogs, Scamp and Yoyo, have been awarded the PDSA Order of Merit — one of the highest honours recognising outstanding animal service in the UK.
The award, often referred to as the animals’ OBE, celebrates animals who have shown unwavering devotion to duty and made life-changing contributions to society. In recognition of their vital work in uncovering illegal tobacco products and supporting UK enforcement operations, Scamp and Yoyo were formally presented with their medals at a special ceremony held at the Tower of London.
The presentation was made by Her Royal Highness, The Duchess of Edinburgh, adding a royal touch to what was already a remarkable occasion. To receive this honour at such an iconic historic location, and from a member of the Royal Family, made the moment even more significant.
Scamp and Yoyo have served with distinction alongside HMRC, Police, Trading Standards, and Regional Organised Crime Units (ROCUs). Their work has been central to numerous successful operations, locating large quantities of concealed illegal tobacco and disrupting the criminal networks behind them. Their consistency, focus, and results have made them an invaluable asset to enforcement agencies across the country.
This is a proud day for our entire team. Scamp and Yoyo’s achievements now stand among an elite group of animals recognised for their service to society.
